Third Thursday - February 18, 2010

The Third Thursday gathering in Feburary is sponsored by the Open University Business School and will include a short presentation to provide you with insight in the ways The Open University MBA can help deliver strategic development to your organisation and high potential managers.

In the traditional American spirit of giving and in keeping with our "5by11" strategy of promoting community service, the American Club is continuing our Winter Clothes Drive at the next two Third Thursday events (we started in January).
We will be collecting winter coats, sweaters, hats, scarfs, gloves and other warm clothing to benefit the homeless. Please gather as much as you can from family, friends and colleagues to show those in need that we care, and bring your items with you to this Third Thursday!

At our November mingle we will be welcoming donations (suggested 50SEK, in addition to your 150SEK entrance) to support Thanksgiving meals with Stockholm's Stadsmission at Bostället. Third Thursday - October 15, 2009

At our October mingle the Fulbright Commission in Sweden and The American Club will be announcing a new cooperation on educational exchange and linking cultures.  Together the Embassy, Fulbright, The American Club and our guests will have a great opportunity for mixing and meeting with contacts old and new.  Come join us at Hilton Stockholm Slussen:

Note: The newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Sweden, Matthew Barzun, was to have spoken at this event.  Unfortunately due to a change in scheduling he is unable to attend but we look forward to participation from the Embassy staff.
