Join The American Club of Sweden as we volunteer to celebrate
Thanksgiving at Stockholm Stadsmission’s Bostället

We will return once again this year to prepare our 3rd Thanksgiving meal for residents and drop-in homeless people, on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th. Won’t you please join us and spread the American spirit of community service? This year there are new opportunities for Club volunteers to assist, including two evening shifts for those who work daytime:

· November 24th, 17.00-20.00: Bake pies and cornbread at Bostället, with residents

· Bake pies in advance and deliver to Bostället no later than 13.00 Thanksgiving Day

· November 26th, Thanksgiving Day, 11.00-16.00: Food preparation, serve, eat with guests, clean-up – and even an opportunity to sing if you’re so inclined!

· November 26th, Thanksgiving Evening, 17.45-21.00: Serve, eat and clean-up with evening guests

If you are interested in volunteering for any of the above opportunities, please e-mail us no later than November 20th per the instructions below.

Despite yet another generous contribution of discounted turkeys by Ingelsta Kalkon, we still have additional costs that are not covered. Perhaps you will consider making a small donation to offset these costs, to Bankgiro 160-4040 marked “Bostället”? Any excess funds raised will be donated entirely to Stadsmissionen.111
